Every year, the penultimate Thursday in November is a time to celebrate and reflect on everything that you are thankful for.

With Thanksgiving here today, here are four things the Cleveland Cavaliers should be thankful for.

1. The Garland-Mitchell Duo

Darius Garland and Donovan Mitchell, when both are healthy, form one of the premier backcourt duos in the NBA.

Last season, they averaged a combined 49.9 points and 12.2 assists per game for Cleveland.

Despite each missing five games due to injury so far this season, they are averaging a combined 49.5 points and 11.0 assists per contest.

2. The Mobley-Allen Duo

Similar to Mitchell and Garland, Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen are one of the league’s top frontcourt duos when at full strength.

Mobley has recorded six consecutive double-doubles, and is averaging a double-double (16.5 PPG, 10.5 RPG, 3.1 APG, 1.6 BPG) in 15 games played this season.

Allen, who was an NBA All-Star for Cleveland in 2022, is averaging 12.6 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game in 10 games played this season.

3. The Emergence of Craig Porter Jr.

An undrafted rookie out of Wichita State, Craig Porter Jr. is beginning to turn some heads throughout the NBA.

The 23-year-old is making the most of his limited Two-Way contract time with the Cavaliers so far this season, averaging 15.3 points, 5.8 assists, one steal, and one block per game in Cleveland’s last four contests.

4. An Undying Fanbase

In terms of attendance, the Cavaliers have sold out each of their first seven home games this season.

When it comes to a city supporting its sports teams, Cleveland’s support for its teams is second to none.
