Dončić's first bucket came in the form of a step-back three-pointer over Jazz center Walker Kessler.

Dončić is playing in his first game as a Laker, and the excitement and buzz is palpable.
All eyes were on the 25-year-old as special things tend to happen when the ball is in his hands. This is Dončić's first game back since Christmas Day when he was a member of the Dallas Mavericks.
He suffered a left calf strain. Dončić and his team wanted to make sure he was 100 percent healthy, and that appears to be the case, as the Lakers made him available even with the All-Star break around the corner.
The Lakers traded for the five-time All-Star on Feb. 1, which included forward/center Maxi Kleber and forward/center Markieff Morris from the Dallas Mavericks in a three-team trade.
In return, the Lakers sent superstar center Anthony Davis, guard Max Christie, and a 2029 first-round draft pick to the Dallas Mavericks, while guard Jalen Hood-Schifino and a future second-round pick were sent to the Utah Jazz.
This is Dončić's 23rd game of the season, and he has looked well through the first 24 minutes, recording 11 points on 4-for-9 shooting from the field, three rebounds, and three assists in 15 minutes.
