The San Antonio Spurs are four games away from the end of what should be considered as a lost season, but the players on the roster don't see it as such.

Coming into the season, they knew the chances of them playing for the playoffs were slim, and those chances turned pretty close to zero when 18 straight losses came.

But since then, the Spurs have continued to fight night in and night out.

"We're always going be competitive for sure. We're looking at the big picture. We have been eliminated from playoff contention a while ago so it's always just been about continuing to get better this year," Tre Jones said after Sunday night's loss against the Philadelphia 76ers. "Continue to try to build chemistry with each other. Both offensively and defensively. Make sure that we're working towards the right things. Building good habits, things like that, that we can carry out throughout the rest of the season but into next year as well. We got a lot of young guys out but everybody stays ready. A lot of people have things to prove as well and continue to try to improve everybody's games and we're going to fight every night."

With four games to go, the Spurs will continue to play it out in hopes of building momentum into the offseason and beyond.

The Spurs return to the court tomorrow night against the Memphis Grizzlies. Tipoff from the FedEx Forum is set for 7 p.m. CT.
