PHOENIX -- The Mat Ishbia era of the Phoenix Suns has officially begun.

Ishbia was introduced as the new leader of the organization after months of going through a vetting process from the NBA to take over Robert Sarver's now former throne. Ishbia and his group - which features his brother among others - purchased both the Suns and Phoenix Mercury for a record $4 billion.

In front of a plethora of media members, front office executives and former Suns legends, Ishbia took the stage at the Footprint Center on Wednesday and shared a few words to open up his near 20 minutes of speaking:

Ishbia also touched on a few different topics. He denied various reports that former Detroit Pistons point guard Isiah Thomas would be joining the front office and said money would not be an issue when speaking about spending into the luxury tax in the future.
