Suns Outlast Stubborn Kings 122-117

It wasn't easy, but the Phoenix Suns got the win against the Sacramento Kings on Monday night to keep their winning streak alive.

The Phoenix Suns have now won their fifth game in a row after defeating the Sacramento Kings on Monday night.

It's their sixth win in seven games. The Kings now see their losing streak extend to three after a hard fought game that went down to the wire.

Action began with Phoenix leading Sacramento 31-26 at the end of the first. The Suns went on a 12-0 run to finish out the opening period of play.

The Kings would ultimately battle back as 16 ties occurred in the first half. Phoenix trailed 64-63 heading into the break.

Booker had 21 at halftime and finished with 44, his seventh 30+ point game of the season and second with +40. He also had six steals, tied for a career high.

Deandre Ayton, who has been in pristine form as of late, notched 17 points and 12 rebounds to add a sixth consecutive double-double to his resume.

Domantas Sabonis was one rebound away from notching a triple-double with a 17/9/10 stat line on the evening.

Sacramento didn't go away despite trailing Phoenix for most of game time, however. The Kings fought back to a 94-92 deficit with 10:13 left to go. Malik Monk's layup with 6:32 would put Sacramento up 102-101 before a pair of Damion Lee three's would push the Suns back in front.

Monk, who came off the bench, led the Kings with 30 points on the night.

The Suns eventually built a ten point lead with just over a minute left pushing the game out of reach, although the Kings would eventually draw within three to make things interesting.

Phoenix is back in action at home on Wednesday night against the Chicago Bulls.
