New Details of Steph Curry's Leg Injury Revealed

The Warriors gave a very detailed injury update.

Steph Curry getting injured was one of the worst possible things that could have happened to the Golden State Warriors at this moment. Fans have been questioning what exactly the injury was, and the team revealed a lengthy PR statement giving details.

The release reads as follows:

"Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry, who exited last night's game against the Dallas Mavericks with 2:01 remaining in the third quarter due to a left lower leg injury, underwent a series of examinations last night. An MRI last night confirmed that Curry suffered partial tears to his superior tibiofibular ligaments and interosseous membrane as well as a contusion to his lower leg. He will not play in tomorrow's game against Oklahoma City and additional clarity on a potential timeline will be established in the coming days."

As it stands, the Golden State Warriors are currently the 7th seed, just one game above .500. Five of the Warriors' next six games are all against western conference teams that are close to them in the standings: Thunder, Blazers, Lakers, Clippers, Lakers.

The Warriors have shown that they have the capability to beat teams without Steph Curry, as they did against the Dallas Mavericks, but this will be a very make-or-break stretch for them. Either the team will start proving themselves as legitimate championship contenders capable of surviving without Steph, or all of Golden State's playoff chances will be thrown out the window.
