The Dallas Mavericks entered the season with hopes of repeating a trip to the NBA Finals, but ever since they unexpectedly traded Luka Doncic, things have gotten worse and worse.

Dallas currently has a record of 28-26, good for the eighth seed, but the team is battling a plethora of injuries all at once. As it stands the team virtually has no center to play for an extended period of time.

The Mavericks listed Anthony Davis on the injury report as out against the Golden State Warriors due to a left adductor strain. Shams Charania of ESPN revealed that Davis is expected to miss multiple weeks in what could last up to a month.

Not only will the team be missing Davis, but they'll also be missing Dereck Lively II, Dwight Powell, and Daniel Gafford. If the Warriors want to win on Wednesday night, they'll have to rely heavily on Trayce Jackson-Davis and Kevon Looney to take advantage of the center position matchup.

The most unfortunate fact about Davis' injury situation is that he was relatively healthy prior to this adductor strain, playing 43 games this season. Through 43 games, Davis averaged 25.7 points, 12.0 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 2.2 blocks on 53/31/79.

The Dallas Mavericks traded for Anthony Davis with the hope of him being as healthy as he's been the last two seasons, but that unfortunately doesn't seem to be the case.

The Golden State Warriors face off against the Dallas Mavericks at 9:30 p.m. EST on Wednesday.
