NFL Playoff Picture: Super Wild-Card Round Teams and Matchups

Week 18 provided plenty of intriguing matchups as the curtain closed on the 2023 NFL regular season. Following Sunday’s slate of games, the NFC playoff bracket has been established, with seeding determined for all seven teams.

Super Wild-Card Weekend will get underway next week from Jan. 13-15, and we now have the matchups for the first round of postseason play. 

Here is the full list of NFC playoff matchups for the first round of action.

No. 7 Green Bay Packers vs. No. 2 Dallas Cowboys, Sunday, Jan. 14 at 4:30 p.m. EST, FOX.

No. 6 Los Angeles Rams vs. No. 3 Detroit Lions, Sunday, Jan. 14 at 8:00 p.m. EST, NBC/Peacock.

No. 5 Philadelphia Eagles vs. No. 4 Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Monday, Jan. 15 at 8:00 p,m. EST, ESPN.

The No. 1 seed San Francisco 49ers earned a first-round bye, so they’ll be out of action until the divisional round.

The Packers clinched a postseason berth with a Week 18 win over the Chicago Bears. They’ll have a difficult test against former Green Bay coach Mike McCarthy and the Cowboys in the Wild Card round.

Meanwhile, the Rams and Lions will be facing off in Detroit, meaning Jared Goff and Matthew Stafford will battle against their respective former teams. It’ll be the first time Stafford takes the field for a playoff game at Ford Field.

As for the AFC, after Sunday night’s battle between the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins, the seeding for the seven playoff teams has been determined, with the No. 1 Baltimore Ravens getting a first-round bye.
