Outlook on Brock Purdy Shouldn't Change After the Ravens Game

In this story:
Brock Purdy had the worst game of his career in the 49ers' loss to the Ravens on Christmas.
Baltimore's defense never gave Purdy a chance to get into rhythm, and when it looked like he would start to get into it they would intercept him. Purdy threw four interceptions with two of them being egregious and two of them being out of his hands. Because of that performance, the narrative on Purdy seems to have changed as if he got "exposed" from it.
Purdy is no longer the betting favorite, so all the shine seems to be dissipating from him. But the outlook on Purdy shouldn't change after the Ravens game. Yes, he had an ugly performance that is inexcusable. It is fair to criticize his game from that singular performance, but acting as if he hasn't been sweet for the majority of this season is sudden revisionist history. Really, Purdy has only had two poor performances this year.
The first was against the Browns, then it was the Ravens. It is no surprise that a 49ers loss and Purdy's two poor outings came at the hands of an elite defense that is aggressive. For those who are trying to victory lap Purdy by believing he is a product of the system are looking foolish. If anything, this poor performance against the Ravens proves how legitimate all of his great performances this season were.
As I said, the only two games where Purdy looked bad were against the Browns and Ravens. So, in order for Purdy to look mediocre, he needs to face an elite defense that gets after it. There are only three defenses that are like that. The two I just named and the 49ers. Purdy will not look like that again this season. The Ravens simply matched that "bully" mentality as the 49ers and took it to them.
Criticism on Purdy for the game is fair, but the outlook of him as a quarterback should not change at all. It should only change if that game ends up derailing him, which will be clear if he looks sketchy in the final two games of the regular season. I have little doubt that he won't bounce back and look like a smooth quarterback again.
