Bengals Place DJ Reader and DJ Ivey on Injured Reserve
CINCINNATI — The Bengals placed defensive tackle DJ Reader (knee) and rookie cornerback DJ Ivey (knee) on injured reserve Monday as the two recover from rough injuries suffered against Minnesota.
Reader's injury is season-ending as is Ivey's (torn ACL). Ian Rapoport reported that Reader suffered a torn quad tendon.
Cincinnati will have to trudge on with a mix of Josh Tupou and Zach Carter filling in for Reader, while Ivey's nice special teams impact on the coverage units needs replacing.
The Bengals now have two open roster spots to use ahead of the Steelers matchup.
