Report: Ravens Losing Defensive Coordinator Mike Macdonald to Seahawks Head Coaching Position

CINCINNATI — The Bengals offense won't have to deal with Mike Macdonald's defenses twice a year moving forward. The Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator is taking the Seattle Seahawks head coach position.

Adam Schefter reported the news as Baltimore searches for his replacement.

Mike Macdonald now becomes the youngest head coach in the NFL at age 36.

Macdonald's done a way better job containing Joe Burrow than Wink Martindale did in the quarterback's scorching performances before Macdonald's arrival.

Burrow has an 89.4 passer rating with 747 yards, five touchdowns, and one interception on 5.66 yards per attempt in his four games against Macdonald. Those are easily some of his worst numbers against any opponent over the past two seasons.
