Tag Tee Higgins? Franchise Tag Salary Set for 2024 Season

In this story:
CINCINNATI — Will the Cincinnati Bengals use the franchise tag on Tee Higgins?
It feels inevitable, especially if they can't agree to a long term extension between now and the tag deadline (March 5).
The tag is officially $21.8 million for wide receivers. If the Bengals use it, Higgins would earn that salary for the 2024 season and would be under contract until next March when he would be scheduled to become a free agent.
The NFL also announced that the salary cap is $255.4 million for the 2024 season. That gives Cincinnati and the 31 other teams more room to work with when evaluating their approach this offseason.
