Zach Moss Details Excitement Surrounding Bengals Running Back Room

Cincinnati has a new look at the position.

CINCINNATI — Zack Moss is taking the reins from Joe Mixon as the Bengals bell cow running back in 2024 and he discussed his excitement on Up & Adams this week.

Moss signed a two-year deal with the Bengals earlier this month.

"I definitely take a lot of pride in it," Moss said about his expanded role coming from Indianapolis. "We got a lot of great guys in the room, Chase Brown, Trayveon Williams, and obviously I'm sure they'll bring some guys in and things like that. But, you know, definitely looking forward to just trying to be a leader and be a guy that they can depend on. The whole offseason is going to depend on each and every week. Be a pro and do my job at a high level and do that consistently."

Moss ranked 27th among 2023 running backs in yards (794) and carries (183) as the Bengals look for more pop out of the position, in addition to Brown's explosiveness.

"First thing that popped out to me was his speed, explosiveness, and what he can do with the ball in his hands and get him in space," Moss said about Brown. "So I think he's going into his second year if I'm not mistaken. So it's obviously a lot of growth that he can have there and things like that. And my job is to come in and try to be someone he can lean on and take experiences from and share those experiences with him, and try to make sure he can be the best player he can be."
