Drake mentions Bills fans on first album following Kendrick Lamar beef

In this story:
Many waited for Drake's response following his rap beef with Kendrick Lamar. Unfortunately, it came with a stray for Bills Mafia.
The international music star and Toronto native collaborated with OVO label mate PARTYNEXTDOOR on the '$ome $exy $ongs 4 U' album on Friday. The R&B album dropped to coincide with Valentine's Day but it was also Drake's first full project since "the Great Rap War of 2024," which culminated with Lamar performing two of his Drake disses at Super Bowl LIX.
So what does '$ome $exy $ongs 4 U' have to do with the Bills, in particular Bills fans? The album's second track, 'MOTH BALLS' to be exact.
drake really said, "i remember stressing over bills like a buffalo fan" lol

Drake is known for his quotables, but in prior Buffalo mentions, Bills fans were never aimed at before. The artist, whose real name is Aubrey Graham, refers to Buffalo in previous tracks like 'Away From Home' and 'Can't Have Everything,' as he shared about a place he visited as a youth coming from Toronto, roughly 100 miles north of the Queen City.
The lyric, unfortunately, aims too at the struggles the team's fans have had to bear through historically, just like this season with a loss in the AFC championship.

The Bills have ties to Toronto outside of Drake. The Buffalo franchise played in the Bills Toronto Series from 2008 to 2013, which was to expand the team's reach marketing-wise by playing for their already established Canadian fanbase. Some may forget this but the team nearly relocated to the capital of Ontario.
Imagine that: the Toronto Bills.

Maybe Drake wouldn't be taking a subtle shot at Bills Mafia at that point, even for the sake of getting a bar off in the process.
