QB Baker Mayfield Heading to Buccaneers, Early Favorite to be Week 1 Starter

Baker Mayfield has four his fourth team. Former Cleveland Browns No. 1 overall draft pick is heading to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, per a report. Mayfield is the early favorite to be the starter early on for the Buccaneers, who also have Kyle Trask on the roster.
Moving on from Tom Brady, the Buccaneers were always likely to go a bridge quarterback route. Or, at best, Mayfield turns his career around down in Florida.
The one-year deal for mayfield is worth ip to $8.5 million. Mayfield spent last seaosn with the Carolina Panthers after being cut by the Browns, then ended up with the Los Angeles Rams down the stretch as the Panthers cut him.
This move comes as a big opportunity in Mayfield's career. After five seasons in the NFL, Mayfield is at a crossroads. He can either show he can lead a team, or end up a career backup.
