Report: Browns Interested in Former Chargers Tight End
Cleveland Browns are reportedly interested in bringing a large tight end that could be another red zone threat. According to the report, Cleveland is interested in former Los Angeles Chargers tight end Donald Parham Jr.
Parham has been with the chargers for three seasons, recording seven touchdowns in that time, just one came last season. The 6-foot-8 tight end played his college ball at Stetson and came into the NFL as an undrafted free agent. Though he doesn't have much production, just 479 receiving yards in three seasons, he's an intriguing name on the tight-end market.
To this point in his career, Parham has made just 15 starts, less than half of the games he has played in. If the Browns like the player enough they could decide to move on from Harrison Bryant, it would save them a little bit of cash.
On the other hand, the Browns can afford to keep both and pair them with David Njoku. Pharoah Brown was with the team last year as a blocking tight end.
With the first official day of free agency here, at 4 p.m. teams will be allowed to officially sign deals. Cleveland has already agreed to deals with two players and it looks like they're working toward more.
