Browns Sign Speedy Veteran Wideout
In this story:
After trading for wide receiver Elijah Moore earlier in the week, the Cleveland Browns are not stopping there. Cleveland has signed speedy wideout Marquise Goodwin to a one-year deal, per multiple reports.
Goodwin played in 13 games last year with the Seattle Seahawks and totaled 387 receiving yards on 27 catches, as well as four touchdowns. Goodwin figures to add a veteran presence as well as speed to Cleveland's roster.
A nine-year veteran in the NFL, Goodwin's best season came in 2017 with the San Francisco 49ers when he finished with 962 receiving yards.
With this signing, the Browns have much of their wide receiver room finished. Amari Cooper, Donovan Peoples-Jones, Elijah Moore, David Bell, and Goodwin give the Browns five. They will likely keep six with Michael Woods and Anthony Schwartz battling for the last spot.
After visiting with the Browns at the beginning of the week, a deal has come to reality for the two sides. Goodwin will now play for his fifth team.
