DT Dalvin Tomlinson Speaks as a Member of Cleveland Browns for First Time

Newly added defensive tackle Dalvin Tomlinson held his first press conference as a member of the Cleveland Browns.

Cleveland Browns first step at fixing the interior of the defensive line spoke to the media for the first time on Thursday afternoon. Dalvin Tomlinson, who came over from the Minnesota Vikings in free agency, gave a little insight into who he is and more.

Tomlinson is six-year veteran in the league who has been pretty successful on the interior.

Here, I grab key notes from the press conference.

  • Tomlinson said he has had a lot of communication with Browns new defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz already.
  • Cleveland's new defensive tackle believes he's a good run defender because he fights through entire plays.
  • It looks to be that Jim Schwartz could have an impact of Tomlinson being here. Tomlinson likes the attacking front that should showcase his takeoff and ability.
  • Myles Garrett is a generational talent according to Tomlinson, he's excited to team-up with him.
  • Along the defensive line Tomlinson said he's okay with lining up anywhere inside, that he just needs a hand in the dirt.
  • Tomlinson's goal is to create opportunities for the rest of the defensive line.
  • Tomlinson credited his stamina to wrestling and Alabama. He said that even when you're tired, you have to be physical.
  • Out of high school, Tomlinson was accepted to Harvard.
  • In high school, Tomlinson lost his mom to heart disease. She is his reason in everything he does.
