Browns DE Ogbonnia Okoronkwo Won’t be Getting the Jersey Number he Wanted

In this story:
When Ogbonnia Okoronkwo suits up for the Cleveland Browns in 2023, it likely won’t be in the jersey number he wanted. Okoronkwo took to Twitter on Saturday to let Browns fans know that it isn’t looking good for him to be in jersey No. 7.
It’s not looking good for #7, defensive ends should be able to wear swaggy numbers too 😒

NFL rules prohibit edge rushers from wearing single jersey numbers, so Okoronkwo is out of luck on that front. Rules state that NFL defensive linemen have to pick between numbers 50-79 and 90-99.
Though Jacoby Brissett is off the team and No. 7 is now open, it’ll likely go to an offensive skill player of some sort.

It may have looked good in illustration, but fans will have to wait a bit longer to know what number they’ll have to get if they buy an Okoronkwo jersey.
