Will Dallas Cowboys Play Von Miller vs Cardinals in NFL Preseason Week 2?

The Dallas Cowboys made a splash by signing Von Miller during training camp, but will he suit up for the team in Week 2 of the NFL preseason?

The Dallas Cowboys are in Glendale this weekend for a late-night showdown against the Arizona Cardinals at State Farm Arena as Week 2 of the NFL preseason winds down.

Dallas and Arizona are set to kick off at 10:00 p.m. ET on the NFL Network, with a majority of the team's starters set to watch the contest from the sideline.

But while the team's star players will not be suiting up for Saturday's game, there have been some questions about the team's newest addition: Super Bowl MVP and future Pro Football Hall of Famer Von Miller, who signed with the team earlier this week.

The 8-time Pro Bowler has seen very limited action during training camp, with only a handful of reps during practice, but he made an immediate impact. Unfortunately, it looks like fans will have to wait until the regular season to see Miller going full speed for the Cowboys.

Preseason Plan For Von Miller

Miller had just a handful of snaps during practice in Oxnard, but he wasted no time making an impact. In his limited reps, Miller found a way to get after the quarterback and create pressure.

When it comes to Saturday's game, however, don't expect to see him play. Calvin Watkins of the Dallas Morning News previously said the "goal is to get him ready for Week 1."

Despite bringing him along slowly, the Cowboys are happy with what they have seen from the veteran since arriving in Oxnard. Defensive coordinator Christian Parker had nothing but praise for Miller after his first two practices with the team.

“Ultimate professional. Phenomenal teammate. And obviously he can still get after the quarterback and play at a high level as an all down player," Parker said of Miller. "We’re not really putting a cap on what could be this year, we’re gonna let that kind of handle it itself. But we definitely feel good about that edge room and feel good about the addition.”

It's been fun seeing Miller get to live out his dream of being a member of the Cowboys since signing with the team, but hopefully the anticipation of seeing him suit up with the star on his helmet will have a big payoff with on-field production that will help take the defense to the next level.
