Cowboys vs Cardinals Odds Once Again Show Lack Of Faith in Dallas' Improvements

The Dallas Cowboys had a strong performance in their preseason opener, but the oddsmakers still have their doubts ahead of Saturday's game vs. the Arizona Cardinals.

The Dallas Cowboys return to the field on Saturday night for the team's penultimate game of the NFL preseason. A lot of the intrigue for the Week 2 showdown against the Arizona Cardinals in Glendale will be centered around the backup quarterback competition.

Dallas put on a strong showing in Week 1 against the defending champion Seattle Seahawks, and the defense took control after some early struggles, but there are still questions about who will back up Dak Prescott in 2026.

While the backup quarterback battle continues to sort itself out, the oddsmakers are letting their thoughts be known on who should come out on top in today's contest. Once again, the Cowboys will enter the game as slight underdogs, but the game is a virtual pick 'em.

According to DraftKings Sportsbook, the Cardinals are slight 1.5-point favorites over the visiting Cowboys, while the over/under is set for just 37.5 total points.

If you want to take the moneyline approach, the Cowboys are slight -108 underdogs, while the Cardinals are listed at -118. That means you would need to wager $108 on the Cowboys for a $100 return, while a $118 bet on Arizona is needed for a $100 profit.

We'll have to see whether the Cowboys can once again show out and prove the doubters wrong by coming away with a second consecutive win as underdogs. We'll get those answers in a matter of hours when the two teams take the field at 10:00 p.m. ET on the NFL Network.

Following today's game, Dallas will return home to Frisco for a handful of open practice sessions for fans at The Star, before the preseason finale in one week against the New Orleans Saints at AT&T Stadium.
