Davante Adams Will Face Former Team For MNF Showdown

In this story:
Mark your calendars, because the Green Bay Packers are coming to Allegiant Stadium for the first time ever in the 2023 NFL season.
Packers beat writer Matt Schneidman of The Athletic confirmed on Thursday Green Bay's entire 2023-24 regular season schedule, including a Week 5 Monday night meeting with the Raiders at Allegiant Stadium.
Not only will it be a rare clash of two of the league's more historic franchises, but it will also be a reunion for Raiders star wide receiver Davante Adams.
Adams spent eight seasons in Green Bay, where he earned five-straight Pro-Bowl honors and two consecutive All-Pro selections.
The Packers traded Adams to Las Vegas in March of 2022 in exchange for a 2022 first-round pick and second-round pick.
The Raiders and Packers last faced off in Week 7 of the NFL season when the latter handled the former 42-24 at Lambeau Field.
The two clubs have met just 14 times in their history.
This year's showdown will also serve as a reunion between the Raiders and former interim head coach Rich Bisaccia, who now acts as Green Bay's assistant head coach and special teams coordinator.
Bisaccia took over in the 2021 season after the firing of former head coach Jon Gruden. He would lead the Silver and Black to a 5-2 record to finish the regular season, as well as the club's first playoff berth since the 2016 campaign.
