Raiders to Face Jets in Week 10 SNF Matchup

In this story:
The Las Vegas Raiders will battle one of the more active teams from this NFL offseason in a Sunday night showdown in the 2023-24 season.
The Raiders will host the New York Jets and their new quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, in Week 10, the club confirmed Thursday.
Aside from the fact that the two teams have not faced one another since 2020, there will be a couple fun narratives surrounding this prime-time matchup.
Early on in the Raiders' offseason, there was speculation that Las Vegas could be Rodgers' next destination, especially after legendary quarterback Tom Brady announced his retirement.
That noise was eventually put to rest and all but officially when the Raiders signed their new franchise quarterback, Jimmy Garoppolo.
New York's addition of Rodgers immediately made the club a contender in the AFC East, despite its last playoff appearance having been way back in the 2010 season. The Jets have only had one winning season since.
The Week 10 meeting will also be a reunion between Rodgers and his former No. 1 receiver, Davante Adams, as they will share the field as opponents for the very first time since spending eight years together in Green Bay.
With high expectations for both teams this upcoming season, we could very well see a mid-season showdown between two teams -- both of which looking to resurrect their historic franchises -- that will be on course for the postseason.
