3 Potential Storylines for Seahawks' Hard Knocks Episode 2

The second episode of this year's "Hard Knocks" should dive into more character-driven storylines with the defending champion Seattle Seahawks.

Seattle Seahawks fans will be turning on the television for the second episode of "Hard Knocks" at 6 p.m. PT. Fans can watch tonight's episode on HBO or stream it on HBO Max.

This episode should chronicle the last segment of training camp leading up to the team's fan fest practice at Lumen Field this past weekend. Here's a look at three things that could become storylines in the latest episode.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba Feature?

The Seahawks made Jaxon Smith-Njigba the highest-paid wide receiver in the league this offseason, even if it was only for a little bit of time after the Los Angeles Rams extended Puka Nacua. Yet, JSN did not receive much screentime during the premiere last week.

It wouldn't be a surprise to see Smith-Njigba get a little bit more screen time and possibly a one-on-one feature during the episode. Smith-Njigba went from 1,130 yards in 2024 to 1,793 yards in 2025, which led the league. He was first-team All-Pro and the offensive player of the year. He's one of the more recognizable superstars for the Seahawks, so fans should be curious as to what he's been up to during the offseason.

Montorie Foster's Meteoric Rise

Hard knocks loves a good undrafted free agent story, and Montorie Foster could be that for the Seahawks this season.

Foster is not a rookie after playing on the practice squad for the team for a little over a month last season. His story is the quintessential feel-good one. After going undrafted out of Michigan State and suffering an injury during training camp last offseason, Foster returned to his native Ohio and became a substitute teacher. He continued to train and healed enough to earn a spot on the practice squad in Seattle on December 30. About six weeks later, Foster was a Super Bowl champion.

He has been one of the players to watch during training camp so far, and he's making a case to be a surprise addition to the 53-man roster.

A.J. Finley's Interception

The episode should end with the team practicing at Lumen Field for Fan Fest, which is a full-circle moment for defensive back A.J. Finley. Finley tore his ACL at last year's Fan Fest, and he sat out the entire 2025 campaign as the Seahawks wound up winning a Super Bowl.

Finley is fully healed and hoping to make an impact for the 2026 team, and he showed a little bit of what he can do in his return to Fan Fest. Finley picked off quarterback Sam Darnold during practice, which led to a massive celebration from the defense.

It should be exciting to see how that moment plays out on tonight's episode.
