Steelers New Star Named NFL’s Most Annoying Player

In this story:
As a somewhat controversial and polarizing figure, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has done little to endear himself to NFL fans throughout his illustrious career.
In a poll conducted by The Action Network that over 3,000 fans participated in online earlier this month, Rodgers was crowned as the most annoying player in the league with 24 percent of the vote.
He finished safely ahead of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, who came in second place with 17 percent of the vote, and his quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who finished in third at 11 percent.
This isn't a new title for Rodgers either, as he topped the same exact poll as a member of the New York Jets last year with 27 percent of the vote.
The Action Network broke down the percentage of votes per team, and the AFC North's fanbases were largely the main culprits in Rodgers once again earning the distinction of being the most annoying NFL player.

43.4 percent of Minnesota Vikings fans voted for Rodgers, as did 38 percent of Chicago Bears fans and 23.1 percent of Detroit Lions fans. Surprisingly, though, 42.9 percent of Green Bay Packers fans also picked Rodgers despite the fact that he spent the first 18 years of his career with the team.
He was also the most common choice among Jets and Steelers fans at 20.3 and 18.1 percent, respectively, further showing there was no bias among fans of Rodgers' current or former teams.
He has always been quite popular among teammates, with rookie quarterback Will Howard in particular going out of his way to talk about how helpful Rodgers has been throughout their time together, but obviously that sentiment hasn't carried over to the NFL's viewers.
Rodgers doesn't shy away from voicing his opinions, and thus he's generated quite a bit of scorn. His outspoken nature and general way of going about things has seemingly worn out the league's fans too, and the fact that he's been one of the game's most dominant players for the better part of two decades as a four-time MVP has also inevitably led to some exasperation as well.
