3 Players Primed for an Offensive Breakout in the Titans Preseason

With preseason competition officially upon us, the Tennessee Titans are getting ready to trot out a Robert Saleh roster in live competition for the first time. Fans have impatiently waited all offseason for a sneak peek, but as the preseason usually goes, we'll likely be looking at depth above all else.

Still, that doesn't mean there won't be opportunities for guys to break out prior to regular season play. Beyond a few minutes for Cam Ward and his starters, we've circled three names that could see a seriosu uptick in production on the offensive side of the ball this preseason.

Titans faithful, watch out for this trio of playmakers, starting Thursday vs. the 49ers this week.

K.J. Osborn, WR

Osborn might be the sneakiest pick on this list. The speedy wide receiver, entering his fifth season in the NFL, had previously made a respectable name for himself with the Minnesota Vikings as a rotation piece.

An uneventful pitstop with the New England Patriots last year dampened his stock, but Osborn's seven-touchdown rookie campaign continues to suggest a ceiling he's yet to return to. He should get a solid share of touches in the preseason and, given Osborn's past and the circumstances of his one-year deal, there's reason to think he could finally snap back into previous form in Tennessee.

Nick Singleton, RB

Singleton, who was taken in the fifth round of this year's NFL Draft, has a long-term path to taking over the Titans running back room on the whole. He's an extremely talented back with four years of experience at Penn State to back him up. In three of those campaigns, he scored at least 12 touchdowns.

Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears are holding things down in that unit for now, but don't be surprised if Singleton comes out swinging in the preseason. Saleh will want to know what he has in this rookie, and Singleton's collegiate metrics point to a player capable of getting hot early in the league.

Xavier Restrepo, WR

Restrepo has become a popular roster hopeful for Titans fans, if not only for his college connection with Ward. As he continues to battle for a roster spot, Restrepo's preseason showing could make or break his ultimate bid.

Expect the second-year receiver to come out hungrier than ever, and given his (relative) veteran status on the team, you can also expect Restrepo to get a ton of touches. Few on the roster, if anyone, will have a better chance to prove their place than Restrepo this preseason.
