San Jose Sharks vs. Los Angeles Kings
The Los Angeles Kings begin their Stanley Cup title defense on opening night when they host the San Jose Sharks. Last season, the Sharks were eliminated by the Kings in the opening round of the postseason after Los Angeles came back from a 3-0 series deficit.
The Sharks finished second in the Pacific Division last season with 111 points. Joe Pavelski led the team in points with 79. He scored a team-high 41 goals, while Joe Thornton led the team with 65 assists.
