Clasico Rivals Barcelona, Real Madrid Unveil Vibrant Third Jerseys for 2026–27 Season

Both clubs have gone for bold choices with this year’s third kits.

Barcelona and Real Madrid have released their third jerseys for the upcoming 2026–27 season, with the defending champions opting for a vibrant teal design, while Los Blancos sport pink.

The new La Liga season is days away, with the campaign kicking off with Alavés against Getafe on Saturday, Aug. 15.

Neither Barcelona nor Real Madrid will be involved in this season’s opening weekend, with the two clubs granted a delayed start to the campaign due to the participation of their players in the latter stages of the summer’s World Cup.

Instead, Madrid will face Espanyol away on Saturday, Aug. 22, before Barça visit Elche the following day.

Still, excitement for the new season is gaining momentum fast, and the two giants have now completed their kit offerings for 2026–27 with the official release of their third jerseys.

Real Madrid’s 2026–27 Third Jersey

Madrid’s adidas design features a “rich pink” colorway, with off-white trim and a V-neck collar. The kit is completed with matching pink shorts and socks.

According to adidas, the new design “draws inspiration from Real Madrid’s global community of supporters, celebrating connections that unite fans cross cultures and continents.”

It’s also said to draw on “themes of togetherness and positivity,” while adidas’ striking jersey also features a tonal all-over graphic “inspired by geometric patterns found in Latin artistic craftsmanship.”

This is the first time Madrid will wear a pink shirt since the 2020–21 season, when a fluorescent jersey served as the club’s away kit.

That kit remains popular despite featuring in a trophyless season for Madrid, who finished the campaign second in La Liga and semifinalists in the Champions League.

The new jersey also features “body-mapped 3D engineered fabrics that enhance fit, breathability and freedom of movement” and “adidas’ latest CLIMACOOL+ technology.”

Barcelona’s 2026–27 Third Jersey

Meanwhile, Barcelona’s new jersey from Nike evokes memories of one of the club’s most beloved kits.

The design is said to be “inspired by the lifelong feeling of dreaming of Barça” and features a half-and-half pattern of “Green Frost” and “Dusty Cactus” as the base colorway on top of a striking, zig-zag pattern. A darker blue is used around the collar and cuffs, adding contrast.

Barça have frequently used light blue or teal for their alternate kits in recent seasons, but the design appears to be most closely influenced by the iconic Kappa away jersey of the mid-90s, famously donned by the likes of Ronaldo and Pep Guardiola.

Those kits, worn between 1992–97, have taken on classic status, with original versions among the most expensive sold on the second-hand collectors’ market.
