How can players receive the best available betting lines?
Don't worry gamblers we are breaking it down today on Sports Illustrated's Gambling 101.

Few people just buy a car without checking the price at other dealerships and the same is true when it comes to gambling. Players will often find different odds and prices by checking the lines at a variety of sportsbooks.

Some bookmakers attempt to offer better value than a competitor while some move lines due to having too much exposure on certain betting options. So, with this being said, bettors should always shop around for the best game total, point spread, and moneyline prices.

While the impact may be limited on individual bets, consistently paying (-105) juice, instead of a (-110) price, well it really does add up over time. Prices can be different on standard betting options across multiple sites but that's not the only thing, futures wagering prices often differ by sportsbook as well! If gamblers play these betting options right, they can deliver large returns!

When betting on preseason odds, or just prior to the start of a match, player and team prop odds are often tagged with conflicting prices as well. So, when it comes down to it, comparing odds is very simple and players receive more bang for their buck when they shop for the best prices. Even taking a few minutes to research can help make you some extra cash- and I think we all like the sound of that!
