Pinging The Portal: Cincinnati Rekindles Relationship With Big 12 Transfer Jonathan Powell

CINCINNATI — The transfer portal action continues during week one with Cincinnati reaching out to a couple more players of note. We start with an interest in West Virginia forward Jonathan Powell.
The Portal Report noted the interest as Cincinnati picks its relationship back up with the Dayton native. Powell just wrapped up his freshman season, averaging 8.3 points and 3.1 rebounds on 37.8% shooting.
He has three years of eligibility left with schools like Louisville and North Carolina also reaching out to the 6-6, 191-pound talent.

Cincinnati also reached out to South Florida guard Jayden Reid this week.
Sam Kayser reported the news after Reid posted 12.6 points and 3.6 assists this past season on 39.2% shooting.
The 5-10, 161-pound sophomore holds two more seasons of eligibility as he hears from California, Seton Hall, and Pittsburgh among others.
