CINCINNATI — 247Sports released its Big 12 quarterback rankings for the upcoming season as the spring wraps up. Cincinnati's Brendan Sorsby checked in at No. 14 out of 16 quarterbacks.

Scott Satterfield hasn't named a starter yet, but it would be shocking if Sorsby isn't the guy come September.

"Four-star transfer Brendan Sorsby has to beat longtime backup Brady Lichtenberg first, but assuming the newcomer lands the starting job, he could be in line for the most extensive playing time of his career," Carter Jahns wrote. "He flashed potential last season at Indiana when he logged a three-touchdown effort at Penn State in his first career road start and posted a five-touchdown performance later in the year at Illinois. Still, the No. 18 quarterback in the 2024 transfer cycle has just seven career starts and holds a career completion rate of 57.7%."

It's pretty much all projection for Sorsby, who enters with limited college football experience but plenty of traits.

Following a 3-9 2023 thud, Cincinnati will have to prove these lists wrong on the field to earn more national love.
