In Davis' three appearances with the Dodgers this season, he has a 10.13 ERA over just 2.2 innings pitched. He has split time between Triple-A Oklahoma City and Los Angeles, but has had a marginally better outlook during his time in the Midwest.
So far in five appearances in OKC, he has a 7.94 ERA over 5.2 innings pitched. He has accumulated nine strikeouts and three walks in this time, allowing five runs and one home run.
As for Sauer, he has had a more positive season in 2025.
During his one outing in a Dodgers uniform, he threw 1.2 innings, allowing three hits and an earned run. He has yet to record a strikeout in the show this season.
In Triple-A, Sauer has a solid 1.84 ERA over four appearances. He has thrown 14 strikeouts to just a single walk over 14.2 innings, allowing three runs and 11 hits.

Sauer first debuted in MLB with the Kansas City Royals last season. Across 14 outings, he ended 2024 with a 7.71 ERA over 16.1 innings pitched.
The Santa Maria, CA native returns to the Dodgers in a time where pitching help is desperately needed. There are currently 13 Dodgers pitchers on the injured list, including various All-Stars, Cy Young award winners, and MVPs.
Help is on the way with All-Star Tony Gonsolin set to return on Wednesday, and three-time Cy Young award winner Clayton Kershaw eyeing the mound sometime next month.
For now, Sauer will do his best to hold things down for a Dodgers bullpen that is in need of rested and healthy arms.
