The Miami Marlins will begin their first road trip of the season. The Marlins will be in New York to take on the Yankees in a three-game weekend series. 

Both teams are entering this game with a 5-1 record, both on a two-game winning streak and first place in their respective divisions (AL and NL East).

Miami is coming from another series win against the Chicago White Sox. The hitting and pitching have been dominant thus far. Sandy Alcantara tossed a complete-game shutout on Wednesday afternoon.

The Marlins have won six of their last ten meetings against the Yankees. The last time both teams met in a three-game series was last August, when the Marlins swept them. The Marlins won the first game by the score of 13-12. In the second game of the series, the Marlins pitched a shutout against the Yankees, 2-0. In the third game, the Marlins won 7-3.
