Opinion

Baltimore massively needs to reconstruct its outfield for 2027, with centerfield the overwhelming priority

Opinion

Mayo's bat is one of the few things that still might come from the first wave of the rebuild, and expanding his defensive profile might help the cause

Opinion

The Orioles have a ton of work to do landing players not currently on their roster but what about the internal roster decisions this offseason? We have answers

Sep 18, 2026; Baltimore, Maryland, USA; Baltimore Orioles outfielder Colton Cowser (17) hits a single in the second inning against the Milwaukee Brewers at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Mandatory Credit: Jamie Sabau-Imagn Images

Opinion

The fact the former fifth-overall pick didn't play more in Baltimore's lost 2026 season displays why they must upgrade significantly in CF in 2027

There is no area of the roster that needs more significant help than Baltimore's woeful outfield, last in almost every key production metric in 2026

Sep 2, 2026; Denver, Colorado, USA; Baltimore Orioles catcher Samuel Basallo (29) during the sixth inning against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field. Mandatory Credit: Ron Chenoy-Imagn Images

Opinion

The 22-year-old catcher went through quite a bit in a trying rookie season. Now the "adults" in this organization need to start acting like to reach him

Jun 14, 2025; Baltimore, Maryland, USA; Baltimore Orioles shortstop Gunnar Henderson (2), Baltimore Orioles third baseman Jordan Westburg (11), Baltimore Orioles second baseman Jackson Holliday (7) and Baltimore Orioles third baseman Coby Mayo (16) converse during the fifth inning against the Los Angeles Angels at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Opinion

The Orioles have to be able to defend the ball up the middle at some point, and as Mike Elias whittles down his alleged "core" more big names could be moved

Aug 28, 2026; West Sacramento, California, USA; Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Brandon Young (63) delivers a pitch against the Athletics during the first inning at Sutter Health Park. Mandatory Credit: D. Ross Cameron-Imagn Images

Opinion

Very early in Young's 2026 campaign we declared he would be a top starter for these Orioles. So what about next year?

Opinion

Ownership gutting low-level employees ahead of an expected lockout, merely "re-assigning" Mejdal, and firing the mascot is beyond a bad look

Sep 21, 2026; Baltimore, Maryland, USA; Baltimore Orioles shortstop Gunnar Henderson (2) runs to third during the fourth inning at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Mandatory Credit: Jamie LeBlanc-Imagn Images

Opinion

It won't be easy to get this All Star outfielder to sign off on the trade, and it might take sweetening his contract, but he's exactly what O's need

Sep 25, 2026; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA; Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Freddy Peralta (51) throws a pitch against the Philadelphia Phillies during the first inning at Citizens Bank Park. Mandatory Credit: Bill Streicher-Imagn Images

Opinion

Baltimore has to be willing to pay a prospect cost and a financial one if it wants to truly compete in 2027, which is certainly questionable

Sep 15, 2026; New York City, New York, USA; Baltimore Orioles pitcher Shane Baz (34) pitches against the New York Mets during the second inning at Citi Field. Mandatory Credit: Vincent Carchietta-Imagn Images

Opinion

The Orioles gave up quite a bit to land Baz in trade and then sign him to an extension, but can he be more than an inning eater?
