Twins-Guardians series finale rain delayed twice in two innings

In this story:
Does that make it six or seven rain delays for the Minnesota Twins? Their series finale Thursday afternoon against the Cleveland Guardians at Progressive Field in Cleveland was rain delayed for about 20 minutes entering the seventh inning, and then it went into a second rain delay in the top of the eighth inning when the Twins had two on with two out.

Grounds workers were tarping the field as rain poured down at Progressive Park just as the game was about to enter the seventh inning. The game restarted within 20 minutes as the rain lasted just four. Play restarted and the Twins made a quick push with a pair of runs in the seventh to knot the game at 2-2. And the Twins had two on with two outs in the eighth inning when rain started pouring down again, and they could only play on for so long before the tarps came back out.

The game was tied 2-2 when play was delayed. That was around 2:51 p.m. CT, and the game was expected to restart at 4:55 p.m. The grounds crew was working on the field and took the tarp off as they attempted to get it back and ready.
