Nine-Year NBA Veteran Reveals Mark Cuban's Reaction After Luka Doncic Trade

In this story:
The Dallas Mavericks did the unthinkable over the weekend by trading superstar guard Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers. It is very rare for a franchise to find a generational talent like Doncic, but it is even more rare to then trade him away.
The Mavericks brought in superstar big man Anthony Davis in exchange, but it is still a very interesting trade that the entire NBA world is still trying to wrap their heads around.
Mavericks general manager Nico Harrison told the media that it was completely his decision and that he did it because he believes "defense wins championships" and the players coming to Dallas are "adding to the culture."
Rob Pelinka thought Nico Harrison was joking the first time Harrison brought up trading Luka 😅👀

Nine-year NBA veteran and former Memphis Grizzlies forward Chandler Parsons revealed that he texted Mark Cuban, a Mavericks minority owner, following the trade and he had an interesting reaction to the franchise-altering decision.
"I texted [Mark Cuban] and I said, 'I'm so confused.' He wrote back, 'That makes two of us.' That kind of tells you right there, he wasn't involved," Parsons said. "This new ownership... they're business people... They know nothing about the NBA or basketball, so they have fully given Nico [Harrison] the keys to do decisions and make big, bold moves like this... [Cuban] is probably just as shocked as we all are."

Cuban sold his majority stake in the franchise in 2023, so he truly had no say in the Doncic trade, even though he has made it very clear in the past that he adored the Mavericks superstar.
Time will tell how this trade pans out for Dallas, but at first glance, many fans and media are doubting that it will pay off.
