But the Lakers will be going forward with Doncic as the new face of the franchise, giving them a star guard in his prime. Doncic has shown the ability to lead a team to the NBA Finals in the past, and the Lakers are looking to have him lead them there as well.

Los Angeles will build around Doncic for the foreseeable future and will look to extend him long-term this summer. If the team places a solid roster around the star guard, the Lakers could be looking at competing for NBA titles for years to come.

This will be a massive offseason for the Lakers, but one that could shape the next few years of the team. Getting a center will be a priority, and the front office has a lot of work to do.
