Jordan Brand releases savage Luka Doncic ad ahead of Lakers-Mavs game

In this story:
The Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Mavericks meet on Tuesday night for the first time since the jaw-dropping trade that sent Luka Doncic to LA and Anthony Davis to the Mavs. It's sure to be a competitive game full of tension and emotion, as the Mavericks front office has done nothing but slander Doncic since the trade, while the players all miss their former teammate.
In anticipation for the game, Jordan Brand released a new advertisement, showing someone (presumed to be Doncic) swapping the license plates on Luka Doncic's cherished Regera sports car from a Texas plate to a California one, all to the tune of George Strait's "All My Ex's Live in Texas."

Doncic is coming off his best game as a Laker, scoring 32 points in a blowout of the Denver Nuggets on Saturday. He'll likely have something in store for his former team, especially if Nico Harrison is anywhere visible in the arena. Doncic has lived off of motivation his entire career, even shouting at Vlade Divac against the Sacramento Kings last season saying, "You should've drafted me!"

Doncic has been one of the biggest ambassador's of Jordan Brand, being one of a few NBA players with a signature shoe with Jordan, along with Jayson Tatum and Zion Williamson. Nike and Jordan have always gone the extra mile for showcasing their biggest stars, and this is a marketing gold mine for them with Doncic now with LeBron James in Los Angeles. Tuesday's matchup between the Mavs and Lakers will be one of the most anticipated matchups of the regular season, and possibly the most viewed.
