Hawks, Suns Have Discussed Jae Crowder Trade per Report

The Phoenix Suns may have found another potential suitor when it comes to Jae Crowder.

Jae Crowder is still with the Phoenix Suns, and although we don't have a clear timetable of his departure, interested teams are beginning to emerge.

We've already seen destinations such as Miami, Boston, Cleveland and Dallas thrown around, but now a different eastern conference contender has planted their flag in interest of Crowder' services.

The Athletic's Shams Charania reports the Atlanta Hawks are interested in the Suns power forward.

"The Hawks and Suns have had conversations in recent weeks and months I'm told, as Atlanta has seen a pathway to bring Crowder into a big three of Trae Young, Dejounte Murray and John Collins.

Several teams have been engaged on a potential deal for Crowder, who remains away from the Suns as both sides work on a resolution for his future."

The 30-year-old wing player is heading into the last year of his contract, and could provide three-and-d services to a playoff team looking to add an extra piece to their arsenal.

Meanwhile, the Suns have promoted Cam Johnson as their starting power forward with Dario Saric behind him.

The Hawks and Suns have already done business once this year, as Phoenix acquired Jock Landale from Atlanta earlier in the summer.
