Change has been synonymous with the Phoenix Suns lately.

Since new owner Mat Ishbia took over duties, the organization hasn't quite looked the same. A new superstar in Kevin Durant arrived to the scene in a massive roster shakeup. When the Suns failed to capitalize on their potential and ultimately lost in the second round of the postseason, head coach Monty Williams was sent packing.

More change is coming, too. The futures of Chris Paul and Deandre Ayton are going to be heavily speculated until a final decision is made on both while the front office was thought to have been in limbo, primarily focusing on the seat of Suns general manager James Jones.

So when Golden State Warriors president/general manager Bob Myers (who assembled one of the greatest squads in basketball history with four NBA titles to back that up) announced he was not returning to the team, some ears here in the desert picked up.

Phoenix reportedly showed interest in potentially adding Myers to the mix months ago, and with the team under reconstruction in multiple facets, adding a new presence to the mix would have been on brand for how the Suns have addressed their offseason thus far.

However, Arizona Sports' John Gambadoro says Myers isn't expected to land with Phoenix - but rather a division rival in the Los Angeles Clippers

"What I'm being told is what's a very good possibility is Bob Myers will end up with the Clippers at some point.  His wife is a Southern California girl. She wants to be back in Southern California. She doesn't like the chilly weather up north in California. She wants to get back," said Gambadoro.

"It's very likely it's probably not going to be this year. But it's very likely he ends up with the Clippers."

Jones has been an executive with the Suns since 2017 and won the league's Executive of the Year award in 2021.

It appears as if he won't be going anywhere.
