Steve Kerr Gives Massive Injury Update on Andrew Wiggins

The Golden State Warriors have been without Andrew Wiggins for 15-straight games now, as the versatile forward has been sidelined with an adductor injury that was immediately followed by an illness. The Warriors made it clear that they wanted Wiggins to be a full participant in practice before returning to game action, and that has finally happened.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr confirmed on Friday that Wiggins was a full participant in practice, and could be available for Saturday's game vs. the Orlando Magic.

The Warriors lost a heartbreaker in their last game, falling to a buzzer-beating three by Saddiq Bey of the Detroit Pistons. Bey's game-winner came one play after Klay Thompson tied the game with a three of his own, and it ended a five-game winning streak for the shorthanded Warriors. As tough as that loss was, the Warriors are still trending in the right direction, having won five of their last six games with reinforcements on the way.

With Wiggins potentially set to return on Saturday, that would put Curry's likely return less than a week after Wiggins' return. Bob Myers recently revealed January 13th to be the target date for Curry's return, meaning the Warriors could have their usual starters back in-tact in exactly one week.

20-19 on the season, Golden State has pulled to within just two games of the fourth seed, and have a real chance to ascend themselves back into the top-four once they get healthy.
