The NBA has had a fair share of players missing games on a regular basis simply due to rest. It’s load management, however teams will never admit to it. That has really hurt the game and its ratings as well as the overall value of the sport. What really hurts is when guys really are hurt. That label “Load Management” often causes some to question the integrity of the game and even the player and team themselves. Are these players really hurt or are they simply trying to avoid playing a game on back to back nights?

Wizards Cut Ties With Veteran Big Man

Before the regular season started, the Washington Wizards decided to cut ties with Center Taj Gibson. He was the “O.G.” of the team. He was the tough guy that offered a lot of experience and wisdom in the game. He is a guy that could really help the Wizards now. Honestly, he could help any team in the NBA even at this point of his career.

The New York Knicks will be without starting Center Mitchell Robinson as he is set to have surgery on his ankle. He is expected to miss a significant amount of time. With that being the case, the New York Knicks have signed former Wizard Taj Gibson. Gibson has played with the Knicks before and unee Head Coach Tom Thibodeau too. This reunion makes too much sense for both sides. Gibson should be a vital piece to the Knicks moving forward as they are expected to make the playoffs yet again this season.
