Lamar Jackson on Sam Hubbard's Fumble Return TD: 'I Almost Broke My TV'

Cincinnati beat Baltimore in the Wild card round this past season.

CINCINNATI — Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson just signed his new five-year contract with Baltimore this week.

He met with team media afterward and described how sick it made him to miss the 2023 Wild Card matchup against Cincinnati.

The Hubbard Yard Dash struck the former NFL MVP at his core. Jackson described going to the bathroom when the Ravens were about to score in that fateful moment, only to hear the wrong crowd noise as he walked back to his TV.

"I almost broke my TV," Jackson said. "I was about to be one of those people. Yeah, I thought 'I gotta pay for that.'"

Jackson had a PCL injury that kept him out of the final month-plus of the 2022 season.

"That's what I told Adrian the trainer," Jackson continued. "I'm like, 'I don't think I'm ever gonna get hurt again.' He's like, 'You know that's part of the game,' I'm like, 'Bro, I'm not trying to hear that. That's not part of my game.' I don't get hurt, like that can't happen again because I just don't feel right. Just can't play football. Like I haven't ever had that happen."

With a new offensive coordinator, weapon group, and contract, Jackson has plenty of tools to try and knock off the Bengals as two-time reigning AFC North champs.
