Tee Higgins Believes He's a No. 1 Wide Receiver: 'I Proved That I Am'

CINCINNATI — Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins believes he's a No. 1 wide receiver as he becomes eligible for a contract extension from Cincinnati.

The receiver made his comments on ESPN's First Take this week.

"I believe I am," Higgins told Dan Orlovsky about his standing. "I got all the physical traits. I got all the traits to be a receiver, No. 1. I proved that I am while (Ja'Marr) Chase was out, so I feel like I am."

Higgins was solid in the four games without Chase this past season.

He averaged 92 receiving yards, 6.5 catches, and posted a pair of touchdowns without the star wide receiver.

Now fans await to see if Cincinnati will extend Higgins this offseason, amidst a looming Joe Burrow extension as well.
