Tyler Boyd Claims Bengals Win 2023 AFC Title Without His Injury

The receiver is back in the fold for the final year of his contract.

CINCINNATI — The Bengals fell to the Kansas City Chiefs to end their 2022-23 season in an AFC Championship Game Tyler Boyd thinks could've gone differently.

Cincinnati's slot wide receiver is convinced they win the game if he doesn't get injured.

“Still to this day, I feel like if I would have played the whole game, I was the key factor,” Boyd said Tuesday in the locker room. “We would’ve won the game.”

Boyd got knocked out in the second quarter with a deep thigh bruise after notching 2 catches for 40 yards. The veteran wanted to be out there with his teammates, but the injury was too much to overcome

“I just felt like we had enough depth for... other guys to come in and play at a faster pace than what I felt like I could do,” Boyd said. "I wish I was able to do it, but things happen.”

Cincinnati will likely have to topple K.C. in the playoffs if it wants to win the franchise's first Super Bowl.
