Bengals Not Signing Free Agent Cornerback Xavien Howard After Workout

CINCINNATI — The Bengals aren't signing free agent cornerback Xavien Howard.

Howard met with the team on Monday and they offered him a contract after his workout, but they didn't reach an agreement according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.

The Bengals cornerback depth has been tested by bad play and injuries over the first 10 games.

They were hoping to add the 31-year-old to the roster, but Howard is heading home and will wait for his next opportunity.
