Browns Receive Welcomed News With WR Amari Cooper
The good news out of West Virginia is that Amari Cooper will be back on the practice field today at the Greenbrier. Cooper missed a few days with a tweak but is back out there today, as the Browns will put the pads on for the first time.
Cooper is expected to be out there on a limited basis on day six of the Browns’ training camp. While the Browns are putting on the pads today, it will continue to be a ramp-up period with the majority of the work being individual.
After exiting practice yesterday, linebacker Jacob Phillips will be back out there today. It was just a heat-related problem for Phillips yesterday. Wide receiver Mike Harley Jr. will miss some time with a head injury that he suffered on Thursday.
With the wide receiver issues early on, newcomer Elijah Moore has taken every opportunity to impress. Moore had a nice touchdown on a double move against cornerback Denzel Ward on Thursday.
With Cooper back out there today, the Browns will have their starting offense intact for any full-team work that goes on. That’s exactly what you want early on in training camp.
