NFL Insider Says DeAndre Hopkins Appears to be Staying With Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals and DeAndre Hopkins just might have patched things up with each other.

The Arizona Cardinals and DeAndre Hopkins have been at the helm of headlines since the early days of the offseason, when The Score's Jordan Schultz reported the team first put him on the trade block.

Plenty has evolved since then, but one thing hasn't changed - Hopkins is still on the team.

It felt like the optimal time to move Hopkins was the 2023 NFL Draft, yet Hopkins remained in place over the three-day event. Cardinals GM Monti Ossenfort was asked twice about Hopkins and his status, doubling down both times adamantly that the team was moving forward with him on the roster.

That could just be front office talk. After all, Hopkins' $30.75 million cap number for 2023 doesn't exactly fit Arizona's plan to rebuild, and the All-Pro receiver surely wants to win a championship with his career winding down.

Yet last week on his Instagram, Hopkins posted a story where he said:

"I see everybody telling me to stay. Who said I wanna go? Who said I wanted to leave? I'm out here working baby."

After an offseason full of talk and drama, could Hopkins remain with the Cardinals in 2023?

NFL insider Ian Rapoport believes so:

"Usually when these things don't happen by the draft, these sort of big moves- maybe they pick up again if somebody else loses a receiver in August or July, but usually by the time the draft ends … usually it's kind of set. I would say based on the conversation where it is, it seems like they're moving forward together," said Rapoport on the Pat McAfee Show.
