3 Chargers trade-up targets include 1,300-yard WR, John Mackey Award winner

In this story:
There's no shortage of opinions on what the Los Angeles Chargers should do in the 2025 NFL Draft.
With needs along the defensive line and at wide receiver, some names often linked to them at No. 22 overall include Texas wide receiver Matthew Golden and Boston College defensive end Donovan Ezeiruaku.

There's also constant calls for them to bring in Michigan tight end Colston Loveland, who had plenty of success under Jim Harbaugh.
Los Angeles could decide to stay put and see which of these players fall to them, or they could get aggressive and go for a big splash. If that's what they decide to do, here are three players they could target in a trade-up scenario.
Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona

Los Angeles hit a home run when they took Ladd McConkey at No. 34 in the 2024 draft. He recorded 1,149 yards and seven touchdowns on 82 receptions, making him their top receiver. The problem is that he doesn't have much help with Quentin Johnston struggling to live up to his status as a first-round pick.
That's why players such as Matthew Golden and Emeka Egbuka have been linked to the Chargers, but they could decide to go after the top receiver in this class if they wanted to really open up the offense.
Tetairoa McMillan has taken heat for saying he doesn't watch film, but that doesn't take away from his dominance on the field. He's coming off a 1,319-yard season and finished his time with Arizona by recording 3,423 yards and 26 touchdowns on 213 receptions. He offers a big-bodied target and could give Justin Herbert the No. 1 option that Johnston was supposed to.
Mason Graham, DT, Michigan

Colston Loveland isn't the only former Jim Harbaugh recruit who could help the Chargers. Mason Graham would fill a huge need as a disruptive defensive tackle, but would have to be targeted in a trade-up.

This one could be costly with Graham potentially going in the top 10, but he would give instant credibility to their defensive front — and make life much easier for their pass-rushing outside linebackers since he would draw so much attention.
Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State

Colston Loveland could be an option at No. 22, or the Chargers could move up and target the top tight end in this class.
Tyler Warren took home the John Mackey Award after recording 104 receptions for 1,233 yards with eight touchdowns. He's a far more dynamic receiving threat than Loveland and could quickly become Justin Herbert's favorite target.
