The 2025 NFL draft is over and the Los Angeles Chargers are now in the business of signing undrafted free agents with one of their first reported to be quarterback D.J. Uiagalelei, QB, Florida State.

Uiagalelei, listed at 6'4", 245 pounds, is a former 5-star high school phenom who threw for 7,591 yards and 96 touchdowns in is last two seasons at powerhouse St. John Bosco. He signed with Clemson out of high school, the heir apparent to Trevor Lawrence but never found his footing with the program.

Uiagalelei then moved on to Oregon State where he had a decent season in 2023, throwing 21 TD's to just six INT's. He finally ended up at Florida State in 2024 where, after a rocky start and a benching, he broke a finger and missed the rest of the season.

The UDFA joins a quarterback room that includes experienced backup Taylor Heinecke and Pro Bowler Justin Herbert.
